Exercise Rehabilitation Programs are a specialized outpatient service for injured workers at Carteret & Edison Comprehensive Medical Care, facilitating their return to work. These programs are designed to reduce lost work days, lower claims costs and prevent work-related injuries. Primary services include:
- physical therapy and massage therapy to improve flexibility, strength and conditioning
while emphasizing education
- functional physical therapy, a structured exercise program emphasizing return to
- home/work related functional activities and chiropractic therapy as necessary
- work conditioning services that help prepare clients physically for the demands of specific
jobs
- work hardening services that prepare clients for safe return to work through job-specific
flexibility, strengthening and exercises; job simulations; and vocational rehabilitation
guidance
- on site rehabilitation work conditioning and work hardening services provided at work
site, if necessary

These professionals are committed to helping patients improve their function and to helping them continue their rehabilitation independently after discharge. Physician orders are required for the provision of all therapies and services which can be obtained either from our doctors or from an outside prescription.
