Dr. John S. Cho, M.D.

Dr. Cho was born in South Korea. He and his family moved to New Jersey when he was 10 years old. Dr. Cho specializes in Anesthesiology and Pain Management at CCMC where he provides patients with a wide array of services. He graduated with his medical degree from UMDNJ / Robert Wood Medical School. His postgraduate training included an internship at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center and a residency in Anesthesiology at Columbia Presbyterian / St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center. To further advance his training, Dr. Cho completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center. He joined CCMC in 2010.

Dr. Cho specializes in Pain Management and Anesthesia treating Spinal Pathologies with Interventional Pain Management. He performs diagnostic / therapeutic procedures including: Endoscopic Discectomy, Laser Facet Rhizotomy, Epidural Spinal Injections, Radiofrequency Facet Rhizotomy, Spinal Cord Stimulators, Facet Joint Blocks, Branch Nerve Blocks, Nerve Root Blocks, Spinal Discography, Spinal Probing and Intradiscal Injection.

Throughout his medical training and experience, Dr. Cho has participated in several research studies and presentations and has contributed to leading publications in a discussion of advances in anesthesia and other relevant topics. He also volunteers his time and services to help those in need. He is affiliated with several organizations including American Society of Anesthesiology and International Spine Intervention Society.

Dr. Cho and his wife have been married for almost 10 years. They currently live in Closter, New Jersey with their 2 young children. Dr. Cho enjoys spending his free time with his family and playing an occasional round of golf.
