Dr. Joseph Bufano, Jr., D.C.
Dr. Bufano was born and raised in Carteret, New Jersey. He is a board certified Chiropractic Physician with over 15 years experience. Dr. Bufano earned his Chiropractic Degree from Life University in Marietta, GA. He received his Bachelor’s of Science Degree at Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, NJ with a focus on Pre-Chiropractic studies.
Dr. Bufano specializes in musculoskeletal diagnosis and treatment. His post graduate studies are primarily focused on whiplash and mild traumatic brain injuries. He is also a graduate of Spine Research Institute of San Diego. Through his post graduate experience and years of practice he has gained certifications in injury prevention, ergonomics, electrophysiological evaluation and sports injuries. Dr. Bufano is currently taking a post graduate course in Auto Crash Reconstruction from Northwestern University.
He is an active member of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA), the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors (ANJC), the Society of Automotive Engineers as well as the Healthcare Compliance Association (HCCA). Dr. Bufano is a member of the Carteret Knights of Columbus, The Carteret Elks and was an officer in the Carteret Rotary Club. He is also a past member of the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research.
Dr. Bufano and his wife Debra have been married for 13 years. They live in Monroe with their twin daughters and son. In his free time, Dr. Bufano enjoys coaching his children’s soccer, baseball and basketball teams. He also enjoys the practice of martial arts, traveling and reading.
