Dr. Michael Dougherty, D.C.
Dr. Michael Dougherty was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, then attended high school in Medford, New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate education at Elon University, located in North Carolina, with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. Dr. Dougherty went on to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida Campus. He joined CCMC shortly after graduating from chiropractic school in the Fall of 2011.
Dr. Dougherty utilizes an evidence-based philosophy, utilizing the best researched methods to treat patients effectively. He honed his craft under the tutelage of Dr. Donald R. Murphy, of the Rhode Island Spine Center. During this time, Dr. Dougherty was exposed to the spectrum of patient care from conservative management to surgical intervention. Dr. Dougherty is certified in Active Release technique and has an extensive background in rehabilitative exercise.
Dr. Dougherty currently resides in South Jersey. In his free time, he enjoys being physically active in any way possible, including competing in local triathlons and running events. He is also an avid Philadelphia sports fan and hopes to enjoy a championship or two now that he lives closer to home.
